Second Hand Rose began in 1992. My decision to begin an Occasional Sale, rather than an antique shop setting, was because I wanted everything fresh for my customers along with the excitement of finding new and unique items at every sale. Also, this kind of sale gives me the opportunity to create and re-create monthly! My husband and I found what we knew would be a great location in Buffalo and the fun started.

We began with just two participants. We now have twenty two individuals that are a truly talented, creative and exciting group. Each has their own look and style of items offered for sale. Of course, we also like to add the whimsical motto to "think outside the box".

After managing this challenging endeavor by myself for four years, Barb Pursley joined our team and so now I have a co-manager. She is a huge contributor to our success and truly has an "eye" for making our shop POP!  She and I partner as the KARE11 Junk Masters which is a new and exciting adventure for us.
